Katherine Brown (1915- )
Katherine Brown's pioneer work was the establishment of the first
Family and Children's services in Albuquerque. She was known throughout the state for the
standards established for the Family and Children's services. This particular agency is
one of the few that is recognized and accredited by the Family Service Association of
America. Prior to her work in the Family and Children Agency, Ms. Brown worked in various
services for children including the Children's Institute in Chicago. She also worked for
various public welfare programs in Chicago from 1949 until she came to Albuquerque and
established the Family and Children's Services, Inc. |
