Kay Rose Woods
Kay Rose Woods was born in Minnesota and has been living in Santa Fe,
New Mexico since 1935. She is known in New Mexico for her pioneer efforts on the part of
the aging. She set up the first program state wide program for the elderly on aging and
established a unique program. She retired in 1976.
She served in many capacities in the public welfare program from worker, supervisor,
county manager, and field representative. She is very well known within the state,
particularly for her political activities towards improving the programs of the public
welfare agency and the professional staff. She received her MSW from the University of
Minnesota. |
