Sandra J. McCormick, ACSW, MHA

Sandra J. McCormick, MSSW, MHA, FACHE, is the President and Chief Executive Officer of World Services of La Crosse, Inc.  She is extensively involved in international programs to improve the health and human services and quality of life of citizens Russia, the Ukraine, and China. Ms. McCormick received her BS in Sociology and her MSSW from the University of Wisconsin.  She also holds a Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration from the University of Minnesota.

She served as member of the Board of Directors and the Chairperson of the National Association of Social Worker’s Foundation.  She also is a former member of the NASW Board of Directors, is a member of the NASW Social Work Pioneers, and a Rotary Paul Harris Fellow.  She has served on the Board of Directors of the Coulee State Bank in La Crosse, Wisconsin.  She has served as Governor’s Appointee to the State of Wisconsin Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Board and also serves on the Board of its Foundation.  The Mayor of the City of La Crosse appointed her to the La Crosse International Committee.  She also participates on the Boards of the La Crosse Dubna (Russia) Friendship Association and the La Crosse Luoyang (China) Friendship Association.

Her many honors and awards include:  Volunteer of the Year – Sister Cities International; Christian Mission Award – Franciscan Sisters of Perpetual Adoration; Social Worker of the Year – Wisconsin Chapter of NASW; and, the Eleanor Clark Award for Innovative Programs in Patient Care – American Hospital Association.
