NASW Chapters
The NASW Foundation, as the tax-exempt subsidiary of NASW, is available to all NASW Chapters to house funds that are to be used for scientific, educational, and charitable purposes, and for which tax deductibility by the donor is desired. Within this partnership, the Foundation processes and acknowledges hundreds of NASW Chapter charitable donations each year, serves as fiscal sponsor for Chapter grant proposals, and administers special Chapter funds created for training, and educational purposes, such as scholarships. The Foundation also partners with NASW Chapters on special educational and training initiatives such as NASW Supervisory Leaders In Aging (SLA).
These activities, and all other Foundation programs, are funded by donors, including friends, NASW members, and corporations; and, from awards and grants from government agencies, foundations, and other entities interested in the Foundation’s work. The NASW Foundation is not funded through NASW Membership dues. The NASW Foundation has helped raise $140,000 to support specific NASW Chapter local charitable, training, research, and educational activities.
