Connie Commander, RN, CCM, ABDA, CPUR

Connie Commander, RN, CCM, ABDA, CPUR, is Owner and President of Commander's Premier Consulting Corporation. Ms. Commander focuses on the advancement of case management and medical management in today’s healthcare environment. Previous experiences have been in health plans, physician networks, and facility-based departments located in Texas and Illinois. She currently educates case managers to develop and implement a Collaborative practice of case management and care coordination throughout all healthcare settings. 

Ms. Commander views Collaborative Models, Integrated Healthcare Delivery Systems, and effective transitions of care as critical components for care coordination. She is a national speaker and author, and mentors others in the field. She participates in multiple advisory committees and professional associations. She has been awarded both the National and Houston Chapter Case Manager of the Year award, and has held several National Board positions with the Case Management Society of America (CMSA), including National President for 2006-2007, and President for the National Association of CMSA for 2007-2008.
