On October 15, for the first time in more than two years, the NASW Foundation (NASWF) welcomed new Social Work Pioneer® inductees in person to the nation’s capital for a special ceremony. 38 women and men were commemorated this year, combining 2020 and 2021 lists of honorees. Four in five adults who reported being asked about their alcohol use at a checkup in the past two years and reported current binge drinking were not counseled to reduce their drinking, according to a recent Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) report.
